From my experience as an international student, universities are safe for all students including international students. In my university there is a good security system that always ensures well-being of all students on campus. Although, your safety in university is guaranteed, you should avoid jeopardising your safety by avoiding trouble. Remember no country is 100 percent crime free, it's your responsibilty to take care of yourself when on and off campus.
