You will have to research the colleges you are interested in to be sure when applications open and close. There are about three or two intakes for universities in general. For the US, applications open as early as August 1 and most of them close by January 1 the next year. Some universities, however, have rolling admissions. This means you can usually apply at any time during the year as long as there are still empty student spaces to fill.
