The steps to travel abroad to study are listed below:
(1) Choose your desired program of study;
(2) Search for the universities offering your choice program;
(3) Decide on which of the Universities to apply;
(4) Get all application documents prepared and ready for uploading with your application;
(5) Complete your online application, upload all required documents, review your application and submit with payment of application fee (if applicable);
(6) Get ready for admission interview (if applicable to your chosen school and program of study);
(7) Followup with the admission office on the status of your application and by checking your application portal;
(8) Receive an offer of admission document via email or courier;
(9) Accept an offer of admission by paying the acceptance fee (if applicable) and clicking on the acceptance tab on the admission portal;
(10) Complete all medical equipment like obtaining immunization certificates, Covid-19 vaccination proofs, tuberculosis testing document etc;
(11) File a Visa application with your travel documents (e.g. the offer of admission documents, form I-20, Visa fee payment receipt, Sevis fee payment confirmation etc);
(12) Schedule an appointment with the embassy for your Visa interview;
(13) Prepare for your Visa Interview with every available resources from the school and from experts on Visa applications;
(14) Attend your Visa Interview on the scheduled date and ensure that all your documents are intact and producible;
(15) Pick up your passport and Visa from designated centre (as arranged or as appropriate);
(16) Book your flight and obtain your ticket;
(17) Travel to your school before your program start date but not earlier than 30 days before program commencement;
(18) Report to your School Officer on arrival at the school.
