Aside from the scholarship application form, which will contain personal details and, in most cases, an essay, you might need to submit some financial documents to prove your need of the scholarship. But only submit those if you are asked. Need-based scholarships are the type of scholarship most likely to ask for these financial documents. Some scholarships are not need-based. There are merit-based scholarships and those focus more on grades, activities, talents, and portfolio.
